CASA of Allegheny County to receive $35,000

Pennsylvania CASA is pleased to receive $1.8 million in the current PA budget. The impact of this funding is significant because Pennsylvania is no longer one of three states receiving no state funding.

This funding will result in at least 10% growth in our state’s network and add three counties served, with 60% of the funding passing through to existing programs and new program development. PA CASA will use the remaining funding to expand our services and build more resources for local CASA programs.

CASA of Allegheny County’s share of the passthrough funding is an estimated $35,000. We will use the funding to support our volunteer advocates as they work to improve the daily lives of children who have been victimized by a parent or caregiver.
